Feel free to view my The Evil Within gameplay videos in the video playlist below. This game marked the return of Resident Evil 4’s director (the original) Shinji Mikami. There was hype around this particular survival horror game.
To me, The Evil Within was a good survival horror video game but not groundbreaking. You had a good base of characters like Sebastian, Juli Kidman, Oda. You had an interesting antagonist in Ruben Victoriano aka Ruvik. Combat was okay as were the puzzles.
I hated the technical and visual aspects of The Evil Within. It kind of looked and ran like complete shit! Overall, a memorable survival horror game regardless. Enjoy the gameplay below – Jason
