You can watch my Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay videos in this video playlist. You remember Mass Effect: Andromeda? I made over four hundred gameplay videos for my youtube channel of this game. So yeah, I remember it.

What Mass Effect: Andromeda lacked compared to the original Mass Effect trilogy was an essence. A soul if you will. Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 particularly were special video games that showed us players a believable science fiction setting we, or at least I, haven’t experienced before in gaming.

Sure, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s art and look were there but it lacked those memorable gameplay moments the earlier Mass Effects were filled with. For instance, can you remember one memorable sequence with Pathfinder Ryder? Now compare him or her to Commander Shepard. You agree? Not a contest.

I made hundreds of gameplay videos of Andromeda and can barely remember Pathfinder Ryder. Commander Shepard has memes that are still being used today. My advice for Mass Effect 5 is to have a great protagonist for a start.
