“I hate my brother!” “I hate my sister even more!” Have you ever felt that way? The siblings at the heart of this story certainly have. Noki and Eli, a brother and sister, lose their pet bird near a forest and venture deep into its dark depths to search for it. No matter how hard they look, they can’t find it — and just as they’re about to give up and head home, an accident triggers a massive forest fire. They barely escape, only to find themselves each completely alone in an unfamiliar place. The two set off on separate journeys, searching for one another — and along the way, seeking to reclaim what matters most to them.
