Being a life long fan of Hideo Kojima starting back in my fifth grade year when I played the newly then released Metal Gear for my NES. I was pretty much hooked for life at whatever this man touched in regards to video games. Today we got an announcement to the sequel of Death Stranding via the Game Awards 2022.
Here I am tonight trying to figure out what this Death Stranding 2 trailer is trying to convey to us as gamers. Now I beaten Death Stranding and this trailer managed to throw a bunch of curveballs out of left field at me.
For instance, why does Sam Bridges look thirty years older? Did he drive his delivery bike through a time rift? Doubt it. In the beginning we see baby hand prints and the number “2”. Who are the red cloaked people and what are they carrying? Are they connected to the beach?
Are the baby’s toys symbolic of something? Who is the baby while where at it? It think it’s the original bridge baby personally. Who is Fragile protecting the baby from? Fragile’s crew is named Drawbridge. I don’t remember seeing any Drawbridge in the first Death Stranding.
And Troy Baker is a rockstar now? Bring it on Kojima! In all seriousness Death Stranding 2’s first trailer was masterful at getting me to think – Jason
