So finally we get to see Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones. I will refrain from making Sea of Thieves comparisons for this article. Skull and Bones is a player versus player, player versus environment pirate multiplayer game. You can also play it solo if you want which was a smart move on Ubisoft. There seems to be enough busy work with it’s gameplay loop of scavenging, crafting, ship battles and upgrading.
The random emergent gameplay aspects of the world will be key here. Gamers love staying busy with endless free content but that is yet to be seen with Skull and Bones. I think the game looks okay. Visually not so much but the gameplay loop looks okay. Skull and Bones releases on the Playstation 5, Xbox Series Consoles, PC, Epic Games Store, Luna and Stadia this November 8, 2022.
