Before I get into what I know is the best modern day era and a top best Resident Evil ever for me. First, let me give respect to Capcom. I’ve been there with Capcom way before Resident Evil was even a thing.
As a kid, I played a plethora of Capcom arcade and NES titles in the 80’s. As a boy it was a blessing. I was also there when Resident Evil 6 released and saw the decaying of Capcom and this series as a brand.
So yes, I have a lot of respect for Capcom after Resident Evil Requiem. We all go through ups and downs in life. It’s how we bounce back and handle defeat that shows true resolve, character and grit. Okay, I am done kissing Capcom’s ass let’s get into the impressions.

Resident Evil Requiem masterfully blends two campaigns with four perspectives which caters to old school survival horror and horror action wrapped into one amazing presentation.
FYI I will write a “real” review for Resident Evil Requiem once I complete my second playthrough. I also plan on making member videos for my JVGS youtube channel where I blah blah blah on cam about my love for Resident Evil Requiem.
My first playthrough clocked at 29 hours shown on the “Rewards” screen. It didn’t seem that long honestly. I also made 190 gameplay videos of my first playthrough which didn’t seem like work.

Requiem is brilliant especially in this day and age of hit and miss AAA games, hyped multiplayer games getting canned within months of release. Crazy times in 2026 already yet Capcom said fuck all that and made a single player solo masterpiece Resident Evil video game.
Leon and Grace’s story could’ve been separate ten hour campaigns with how good they were written and gameplay mechanics executed. Some of the new Elpis infected and bosses were fun and terrifying. I loved the fan fare in Requiem as a few “HOLY SHIT” thoughts popped into my head especially in the last quarter of the campaign.
Gamers? Feel free to complain about everything or one thing in regards To Resident Evil Requiem. It’s safe to say after beating the campaign once it’s a masterpiece for me. Thank you Capcom. Now go release that DLC I know you have cooked up.
