I finally got around to playing some of Midnight Fight Express which is a new-age, old school, beat ’em brawler and isometric shooter. “A Gameplay Video and Article” is just that. I wanted to make a blog post showing one gameplay video with my thoughts on the game and said video.
The latter is my attempt at trying to be original in the gaming blog-sphere. I played Midnight Fight Express via Gamepass and on my Xbox Series X. This game from what I played which wasn’t a whole lot is really really good.
Good job Jacob! The gameplay video below starts off with the protagonist Babyface being interrogated by detectives for a crime he didn’t commit. Then it (the game) flashes back to the night the city basically turns into Gotham City.
Babyface soon after get’s a mysterious package with a talking drone inside called Droney. At this point, I started getting Total Recall vibes since Droney tells Babyface he is a secret agent who has amnesia.
Next, you are shown via Drowney’s help a plethora of simple yet visceral gameplay mechanic tutorials from strikes to guns. Gameplay was easy to learn with a great feel in regards to weight and accuracy. Punching, dodging, blocking and shooting felt ight and responsive.
The atmosphere in Midnight Fight Express is better than I assumed it be. Remember this game was developed by Jacob Dzwinel. One guy. Visuals and music were above my expectations as well and complemented it’s addicting gameplay.
The gameplay video below runs 14 or 15 minutes in length. Thanks for reading and go play this game if you own Gamepass. Later – Jason
