Blaidd The Half-Wolf is an important NPC in Elden Ring that you can miss or even become hostile towards you if you kill any Rune Bears before meeting him. So be nice to bears! Also do not fight Darriwil in The Forlorn Evergaol before talking to Blaidd. To properly meet the Half-Wolf Berserk you have to hear howls while in Mistwood.
After hearing howls go see Merchant Kale to talk about the howls. Merchant Kale then teaches you the “Finger Snap” gesture. All you have to do is use the finger snap gesture to summon Blaidd at Mistwood Ruins. The video below shows you the finger snap Blaidd sequence.
