From the creator’s of Halo and Destiny we have a PVEPVP extraction shooter called Marathon. Simply put, this video game is not for me. No extraction multiplayer shooter is for me even if Bungie made it. With my soapbox rant out of the way I still plopped down $39.99 for Marathon for the JVGS brand.
From what little I played of Marathon it’s clearly a good video game from a presentation standpoint. Marathon’s main gameplay mechanics centers around you picking a shell and completing in-game mini-missions involving a team of 3 performing plethora of objectives dealing with environmental hazards or other live players.
You die you loose your loot. Get your loot and survive the exfill evac to level up the best way possible via your loot. Yes the few matches I played of Marathon were fun, interesting and repetitive like most multiplayer focused video games IMO.
What’s so terrible about a single player game Bungie? Can’t appease investors with that idea? At least I can honestly say I bought and played Marathon. Below you can watch all of my Marathon gameplay videos via my YT channel.
