Community Guidelines (keep it simple, keep it mature):

New Features Live: Private Messaging & Polls Have Arrived on JVGS!

Big update for the JVGS community — two features members have been asking for are officially live:

🔒 Private Messaging
You can now send direct messages to other members. Whether it's coordinating a co-op session, talking shop about a game, or just saying hey, PM is ready to go.

📊 Polls
Forum threads can now include polls! We just kicked things off with our first one on the PlayStation disc production news — go check it out and vote if you haven't already. Expect more polls popping up as hot topics come through the community.

Both features have been tested and are ready to roll, so dive in and start using them.

One more small thing: once you hit 3 posts on the forum, some additional profile options unlock. Just a little incentive to jump into the discussion and make yourself at home.

We're building JVGS into a place for real, mature conversation about gaming — no fluff, no drama, just people who actually care about games talking about them. These new tools are one more step toward that. Thanks for being part of it.

We're a gaming community built by a gamer for gamers. To keep this a great place for everyone, please follow these simple rules.

1. Be Respectful
Treat all members with respect. Healthy debate is welcome but personal attacks, insults, harassment and hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated. Disagree with the idea, not the person.

2. No Hate Speech
Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any form of discrimination will result in an immediate permanent ban. No exceptions.

3. Stay On Topic
Post in the correct forum board. Gaming discussions go in the Gaming category. Off-topic conversations go in the Off-Topic Lounge. Creator promotions go in Creator's Corner.

4. No Spam
Do not post repetitive, low quality, or promotional content outside of Creator's Corner. No advertising, affiliate links, or self-promotion in other boards.

5. No NSFW Content
This is a general audience community. Keep all content appropriate. No explicit, graphic, or adult content of any kind.

6. No Piracy
Do not discuss, share, or promote game piracy, illegal downloads, or emulation of games you do not own.

7. No Spoilers Without Warning
If discussing story spoilers for a game clearly label your post with a spoiler warning in the title or content.

8. English Only
Please post in English so all members can participate in the conversation.

9. Respect the Moderators
Moderator decisions are final. If you disagree with a moderation action use private messaging to discuss it respectfully — do not argue publicly in the forums.

10. No Duplicate Accounts
Each member is allowed one account. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or bypass restrictions will result in permanent removal.

11. No Politics or Religion
This is a gaming forum. Political and religious debates belong elsewhere and will be removed.

12. Have Fun!
Enjoy the forums, make friends, track your games and be part of something great!

⚠️ Consequences

Minor violations — Post deleted + warning
Repeat violations — Temporary or permanent forum ban
Serious violations (hate speech, harassment, piracy, NSFW) — Immediate permanent ban

Bans are issued at the sole discretion of JVGS staff and are final. Paid members who violate these rules forfeit their membership without refund per our Terms of Service.
